Once you complete your order online you will receive an email confirmation of your order along with a receipt for your payment. If you have not received your email, please check your junk folder. One of our DEAs will phone you within 24-48 hours and will help you with any questions you may have. The DEA will discuss a suitable time for your energy assessment.

For an average size three-bedroom house, the EPC assessment takes approximately 20 minutes. The energy survey may take longer for more complex or larger houses.
During the home energy check the assessor will look at the overall structure of the building and the fabric and services provided in the building. The assessor will also take sample photographs of the property’s heating system, glazing, lighting and insulation so that the energy efficiency rating of your house can be calculated.
Once the DEA has visited your property the report is completed normally within 24-48 hours of the property being assessed. You will receive an email or text with a link where you can download the original certificate from the government’s EPC Register.
The EPC is valid for 10 years unless you change the building fabric and/or services to the property. For instance, if you install a new solid fuel heater, build an extension and change from oil to gas then a new EPC is needed.
